Online Classes at PCC
Computer Requirements

Users connecting to the WebCT server must meet the following client operating system requirements:

PC
• Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition operating system
• Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system
• Microsoft Windows XP operating system

Apple
• Mac® OS 9 operating system software
• Mac OS X v10.1.x operating system software
• Max OS X v10.2.x operating system software

Pasadena City College offers a number of online classes each semester either partially or totally online. Each online class is different and you will need to check the schedule and instructor's syllabus for more complete information.

PCC uses WebCT is a suite of tools developed by the University of British Columbia to deliver sophisticated Web-based courses. It is presently being used by universities and colleges all over the world to deliver online learning.

PCC's Ecourses can provide extended learning opportunities to PCC students with this system.

You may access the course you enroll in either at home on your own computer or on any of the computers that are available in campus computing labs.

Take a PowerPoint tour that introduces you to WebCT. It will explain how to use the basic WebCT tools, how to navigate through course material, and a list of minimum hardware and software requirements needed for your computer to support WebCT.
